Terms and Conditions for Mini Grant Opportunity for Faith-Based Businesses

This Mini Grant opportunity is designed to support faith-based businesses that uphold the values of integrity, excellence, and character in their operations and community service. By applying for this grant, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions, which are intended to ensure transparency, fairness, and the effective use of funds.


1. Eligibility Criteria 

1.1 Faith-Based Business Definition: Applicants must identify as faith-based businesses whose operations are grounded in Christian principles that promote integrity, excellence, and ethical business practices. 

1.2 Legal Status: Applicants must be legally for-profit registered entities (LLC, Corporation, Partnership, etc.) in good standing with their state of registration. 

1.3 Operational Location: Businesses must be located and operational in North America. 

1.4 Character and Integrity: Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to ethical business practices, community engagement, and excellence in service delivery. 

1.5 Business Age: Applicants must have been operational for a minimum of 3 months prior to the application date. 

1.6 Purpose of Funds: Grant funds must be used for purposes that further the mission of the business, such as expanding services, improving operations, or community outreach projects aligned with the business's faith-based values.

2. Grant Details 

2.1 Grant Amount: The amount awarded will be $250 per selected business. The grant is a one-time award and does not require repayment.

2.2 Number of Recipients: A limited number of grants will be awarded based on the availability of funds and the quality of applications received. 

2.3 Disbursement of Funds: Grant funds will be disbursed within 30 days of the award notification. 

2.4 Use of Funds: Grant recipients agree to use the funds only for the purposes outlined in their application. Any misuse of funds may result in a requirement to repay the grant and possible disqualification from future funding opportunities.

3. Application Process

3.1 Application Submission: Applicants must complete and submit the official grant application form by the 15th of the month. Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. 

3.2 Supporting Documentation: Applicants are required to submit supporting documentation, including a proposal outlining how the grant funds will be used. 

3.3 Application Review: All applications will be reviewed by a selection committee. The committee will evaluate each application based on the business's alignment with the values of integrity, excellence, and character, as well as the impact of the proposed use of funds.

4. Grant Recipient Responsibilities

4.1 Reporting: Grant recipients must submit a report within 90 days of receiving the funds detailing how the grant was used, the outcomes achieved, and the impact on the business and community. 

4.2 Publicity and Acknowledgment: Grant recipients agree to allow the grantor to publicly announce the grant award and to feature the recipient in promotional materials or publications. Recipients are also encouraged to acknowledge the grant in their own communications. 

4.3 Compliance: Recipients must comply with all local, state, and federal laws governing their business operations and the use of grant funds.

5. Disqualification and Repayment 

5.1 Disqualification: The grantor reserves the right to disqualify any applicant or recipient found to have provided false information, misused funds, or failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the grant. 

5.2 Repayment: If a recipient is found to have used grant funds for purposes other than those outlined in their application, the grantor may require the recipient to repay the full amount of the grant.

6. Miscellaneous

6.1 No Guarantee of Funding: Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. The grantor reserves the right to award grants at its sole discretion. 

6.2 Amendments: The grantor reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Applicants and recipients will be notified of any changes. 

6.3 Termination: The grantor may terminate the grant at any time if the recipient is found to be in breach of these terms and conditions.

7. Acceptance of Terms 

By submitting an application for this Mini Grant, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to the above terms and conditions.
